The Half-life of truth

“Half-life” is a term commonly used to describe the decay of initial value of atoms in nuclear physics. Actually, the correctness of facts that human believe has always been reduced gradually too.

Truth only exists in the slice of time. Theoretically, this phenomenon occurs whenever in the past, at the present or in the future .

"The Half-life of Truth“, Audio-visual Installation.

In this work, the artist collect many sayings or facts based on one standard:it was truly believed by the majority during some period of time and is proved to be wrong now. Some historical events are included like the change of term of Pluto. Also, before the invent of wireless power transmission, nobody belive Tesla .

Using old-fashion television and the image of casette , the artist would like to connect the feeling of decay between  the appearance of player and  the understanding of contents.

At the end , the artist also show some contemporary examples, aims to remind the audience of one question: Will the things we believe now change? Is there any thing called "forever"?
